Fall is finally here....

Finally the warmth of Fall has come, I love to be surrounded by its warmth, colors, yummy smell of pumpkin pie and spices, love to cuddle with my family in our living room and embrace the warmth of Fall, its an opportunity to cherish our loved ones as the Fall season brings that special closeness in our family.

As this season brings us close the end of the year I think of all the struggles we endured this year and thank God for not forsaking us, and bringing us through the dark season into a season of thankfulness. I thank God for revealing Himself in every dark situation me and my family endured this year. I've learned that through our dark season we see God, without this dark seasons we wouldn't be able to see God's power or feel him, therefore I thank God for the dark season I have endured this year it was not easy but through this season I could feel how close my Lord is, he is always here for me, without the pain I couldn't experience His love and comfort. His desire for us is that we be rooted in Him and that is something I desire as well.

here in the quietness....

Now that my dear boys are back to school, I do miss having them home in the morning but I really needed my quiet time back, in the morning after the business in the early morning, I lift my boys in prayer, and my hubby as well, I thank God for extending His grace on us and for His mercy that are new every morning.

I like to have my cup of coffee and at the same time read all those posts from my sisters in sugarpiefarmhouse, some are prayer requests and therefore I lift a little prayer for them, others are encouraging posts and therefore I thank God for what I have, and other posts are about homemaking and therefore get inspired to be a good homemaker through out my day!

Then I like to send PM to my friends that keep in touch with me and like that I can keep in touch with them as well.

I do my chores without the rush of the late afternoons, I think of my boys often and therefore thank and thank God for their well being and praise God for his goodness.

sticking to my devotional...

Right now I am on a daily devotional, I am reading the word of God and two other books one of them is titled "The Power of a Positive Mom" and it is helping me to see my circumstance with a different perspective, and as I read this book I am able to find strength, hope and wisdom for each day I love this book because it is based on God's word and that's where I'm getting all the strength, hope and wisdom through the word of God that has been applied in this book. Amazingly I am reading all this right in the time I'm needing it, day by day, yes I am learning to go one day at a time and it helps me to keep my focus on my Lord on God the Almighty!


I like to do my devotional when my boys and hubby are sleeping and then I talk to my Lord. Well believe it or not I cannot really find a quiet time in the morning now that my boys are home all day, they stay up late and they still manage to be early risers! amazing. So my devotional is between 11pm-2am yup that's my quiet time enough to do my devotional and prayer.
